Art with Ms. Markham

Welcome to Art for the 2014-2015 year at SFMS!  My name is Ms. Markham and I will be your guide to the world of art this year. Our classroom will be a nurturing environment, where every student can comfortably and creatively express. The students should walk away from this art class with a lot of valuable information, a portfolio of creative artwork, many fun memories, and a deeper appreciation for the arts. My overall goals are to motivate students to express themselves visually and creatively through artistic thought and action while they build a foundation of art knowledge and skills through the Elements of Art and Principles of Design.  Art is a creative and adventurous avenue of exploration, which all students need to develop confidence. I look forward to learning from your children and sharing my experiences with them.
